PREPARATION
Firstly, prepare the sthaan where Ganesh ji will sit. Do that by spreading a handful of kacha rice on the place. Over the rice grains, place one supari and put haldi, kumkum, abhil on the supari. Over that place some dakshina (money). Reciting Ganpati Bappa Moriya, we must place Ganesh ji over this preparation.
Ganesh Staphna or Pran Pratishtha is the establishment of the Idol. To invoke Ganesha into the Idol. This is known as Pran Pratishtha.
Lift the vastra (cover) off Ganesh ji and remove the black thread that you had made Ganesh ji wear chating “Ganpati Bappa Moriya... Mangal Murti Moriya”.
